Absolutely Pheasants Guide Service was established in 1993 by Stowe Samco, a fourth generation son of Knutson Ranchers. Since 1901, Knutsons have operated their cattle ranches along the White River, midway between Winner, SD and I-90. Pheasant hunters nationwide know Tripp County, South Dakota as the "Pheasant Hunting Capitol of the World", producing the greatest numbers of Chinese Ring Neck pheasants in the nation. Our Land
Wildlife management and land stewardship are top priorities in our hunting and ranching operations. The large number of wild game we host didn't just happen. We strive to ensure great habitat with shelter belts, nesting cover, varmint control, and an ample supply of food plots. With 10 miles of riverfront shores dressed with 100-year-old cottonwoods, stock damns, flowing wells, watering tank pipelines, creeks and lake beds, we are "home" to most species of the Great Northern Plains.
Our 15,000 acres are a hunting paradise of rolling hills, CRP, corn, milo, cane, alfalfa and waist high grass fields. The land's natural thickets, draws, river- banks, tree groves and creek crossings can necessitate 4-wheel drive vehicles. The game is here because we've got what they need….food, water, and habitat.
